7 policemen among 8 injured in roadside blast in Peshawar

At least seven policemen and a passerby were injured Thursday when a roadside bomb targeting a Rapid Response Force (RRF) van, exploded at Warsak Road, near Darmangi Village in Peshawar.

Initial reports revealed the van carrying police officials was patrolling in the area when the bomb exploded, injuring seven officials. Security officers arrived at the site and cordoned off the area for further investigation.

The injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) for immediate treatment. According to reports, one of the officials is in critical condition.

In June, a policeman was killed and at least three officials injured in a roadside bomb attack in Peshawar. The bomb targeted a police vehicle in the Garhi Sobat Khan area, within the jurisdiction of Khazana police station, Peshawar. Sub-Inspector Qayum Dad was killed in the blast, confirmed SSP Operation Abbas Majeed Marwat.
