Capital to have first ever forest park

The government has evolved a plan to construct first ever forest park of the country in Mull-Pur Village, Murree Road to make the atmosphere of federal capital people friendly.

Budget amounting to Rs 50 million has been allocated for this project in the current year. Capital Development Authority sources said that soil testing work has been completed in this regard. Not only local plants and trees will be planted in this park but imported trees will also be planted therein.  Artificial lakes, safari service, information centre and motels will be constructed in the park for attracting tourists, sources said.

Work on this project will be started this year and it will be completed within two years. The CDA will purchase environment friendly plants from the local nurseries for erecting them in this park.
