Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah said Monday (today) that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will protest against the ruling government after Eid-ul-Azha.
Khursheed Shah said that his party would stage countrywide protests and rallies against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
“PPP would inform and guide the people of Pakistan that where the government currently stands,” Shah added.
While addressing party workers’ convention in Khairpur PPP senior member Maula Bakhsh Chandio said that a tough time for Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) was in the offing.
“Those who believe that PPP is limited to one province only must know that they themselves actually represent a provincial party,” he said.
PPP made the announcement when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) had already decided to take to streets against the government.
PTI said it was protesting against the government to put pressure on Pakistan’s institutions to support it uncover Nawaz Sharif’s corruption in the country.

While on the other hand, well-known cleric and PAT’s head Dr Tahirul Qadri rallying against what he called the failure of the PML-N government to deliver justice in the ‘Model Town’ firing incident in which 14 people had died and more than 100 others wounded.
