Govt begins training courses to strengthen capacity of ICT police

Government has started important trainings courses to strengthen the capacity and preparedness of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police to deal with the law and order situation in Islamabad.

According to document available with APP, the present government has started focusing on the capacity building of the ICT police and launched different courses including Lower School Course, Intermediate School Course, Bomb Disposal Course, Orientation Course, Basic and Advanced Investigation Course and Anti-Terrorist Course.

ICT police personnel are also sent for training at the different training institutions including Anti-Terrorist Training, Anti-Terrorist training School (ATTS), Simly, Junior Leader’s, Combating Terrorist Academy, Shinkiari, activities course, National Counter, Anti-Terrorist Training Terrorism Centre, Pabbi.

In these steps ICP Police trained for Conducting of Mock Exercises, Establishment of Rapid Response Force (RRF), Monitoring through CCTV Cameras and Monitoring through Safe City Project.
