‘Around 0.7 mln tourists visited Naran Kaghan this year’

Around 0.7 million tourists visited Naran Kaghan this year, registering an increase of 30 to 35 per cent ratio during this summer season.

Talking to APP, Deputy Director Pakistan Tours, Anwar Sajid said that around hundred hotels in Naran Kaghan were packed during the period of May to August.

“Pakistan tours had launched number of tour packages which attracted a large number of tourists”, he added.

He said Pakistan has a great potential of tourism as number of people were interested in campings in far flung areas especially Naran Kaghan including Babusar.

He said thousands of people were visiting the hilly areas for recreational activities. Around 15,000 local tourists visit Murree, Nathiagali, Ayubia and other popular spots on daily.

He said especially the picturesque landscapes, waterfalls and other glimpses of nature are attracting a large number of tourists including senior citizens as well.

He said for tourists, mountains were considered as the place for leisure activities. People admire the beauty of these areas for the reasons of the climate and clean air, varied topography, beautiful scenery, local traditions and simple life styles, he added.

The most popular feature of Chairlift also serves the visitors with exciting opportunities to experience an elevated passenger ropeway over the mountains in environment friendly way, he added.
