Air Chief inaugurates ‘Martyrs Monument’ at PAF Museum

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman inaugurated Martyrs Monument at PAF Museum on Monday.

According to a handout, the air chief laid floral wreath at the monument and offered Fateha for the martyrs of 1965 and 1971 wars.

Speaking at the occasion, Aman said, “PAF has a proud history of sacrifice, valour and professionalism. Our brave sons of the soil have always responded to the call of the nation with unparalleled courage for a cause greater than life-defence of motherland.”

“PAF holds its Shuhada (martyred) and war veterans in highest esteem as they sacrificed their today for our tomorrow,” he added.

He further said that this monument is a sincere effort to pay rich tributes to our martyred and will serve as lasting reminder of their dauntless courage and matchless heroism.

“Each name engraved on this monument is a complete chapter in itself of our illustrious history in all its grandeur. This monument is not merely a structure of bricks; rather, it will help instill the heroic spirit of our Shuhada in our future generations by fuelling their passion for sacrifice, nationhood and professionalism,” Aman said.

Families of the martyred, war veterans, retired and serving PAF officers participated in the ceremony.
