Speaking to print reporters during the 45-day ban imposed on him by Pemra, noted TV personality Dr Shahid Masood said that there was absolutely nothing worth watching on TV these days.
“Nothing, absolutely nothing. I mean you could spend three hours in the evening, watching TV and those would be three hours that you’d never get back, I swear,” he said.
“Now, don’t get me wrong. This wasn’t always the case,” he said. “Time was when we used to have some pretty good, intelligent programming on TV.”
“There used to be a program only recently….,” he said furrowing his brows, trying to remember the exact name of the program. “The one where the audience would get really perceptive analysis on the issues of the day and even the afterlife, all peppered with the wit and humour of the talented and intelligent host…”
“What was the name of the program? Hmm….the one that they banned because of the host’s unapologetic commitment to nothing but the truth….,” he asked.
“Do any of you know the name,” he asked the reporters.
Till the filing of this press report, none of the reporters present have answered him.
Yes, indeed there is nothing to watch. Almost all sources of news are biased and present things that no one wants to see.
