A case has been registered against five officials of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on charges of involvement in human smuggling.

The FIA officials were nominated in the first information report after three individuals travelled from Benazir Bhutto International Airport to Libya on fake travel documents, sources said.

The officials are also accused of receiving money for facilitating people travelling on forged documents, sources said. The orders to arrest the accused were issued by FIA Director Mazharul Haq Kakakhel.  Sources said a committee has been constituted to launch investigation into the matter.
