PM Nawaz destroying country’s future to save his skin: Imran Khan

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is destroying the country’s future by avoiding accountability.


Addressing ihtisbab rally in Lahore on Saturday, he lamented that it is unfortunate that leader like Nawaz Sharif is ruling the country. He asked PM nawaz to show documents of his property abroad. He also criticised Defence Minister Khawaja Asif for misguiding Nawaz Sharif.

Earleir, PTI arrived at Shahdra where Imran Khan addressed the party workers and supporters. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was ruining Pakistan just for saving his own skin. Imran was accompanied by senior party leaders including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, Mian Mehmood ur-Rasheed, Jahangir Tareen and others.

The PTI rally also known as Ihtesab march will start from Shahdara and will reach Charing Cross in the evening where participants will be addressed by party chief, Imran Khan.

Khan will lead the rally while leaders of other political parties including PML-Q, PAT, PPP and AML will accompany him on his container. After starting at Shahdara, the rally will pass through Bhatti Gate, Nasir Bagh and GPO Chowk and will reach its destination at the Charing Cross on Mall Road.

Imran Khan and leaders of other political parties will address the gathering at the Charing Cross area which has been blocked by provincial government after placing containers.

“You think you will do corruption and we will sit back,” said the PTI chairman.

He added that Nawaz Sharif was playing with the nation’s future and wanted to do accountability according to his own law. “Even in 200 years, prime minister will not stand accountable”.

Earlier while leaving his Zaman Park residence, Imran Khan said: “The government has stopped our rally by placing containers. I will tell people how Nawaz Sharif has destroyed this country. Our rally today will be historic.”

Roads leading to Mall Road from Shahdara have been blocked for traffic creating trouble for citizens. A child died when he could not reach the hospital on time. A Geo News reporter said that PTI supporters blocked the road leading to the hospital.

  1. When a democrarically elected Govt. places obstacles in the way of a legitimate protest then it has lost it's moral legitimacy.
