The National Assembly on Friday unanimously approved a resolution against the MQM founder tabled by Federal Minister Birjees Tahir.
The resolution condemned the violence that took place in Karachi on 22nd August when the party’s founder incited MQM workers to violence.
The resolution demands that action be taken against all those responsible.
Another resolution by members of MQM-Pakistan was submitted before the national assembly secretariat. The MQM-Pakistan came to light when members of the original party denounced the anti-Pakistan slogans and the incitement by the party’s founder that resulted in attacks on media in Karachi.
The resolution signed Dr Farooq Sattar, Sheikh Sallahudin, Iqbal Muhammed Khan and Abdul Wasim condemned the Anti-Pakistan slogans and inciting the public to attack media houses by the MQM founder.
The resolution further states that it condemns all criminal activities, terrorism and anti-Pakistan slogans and activities against the State.
The resolution appreciated the position taken by MQM-Pakistan on the 23rd of August and in light of the new stated position demands that the State and it’s institutions generously welcome MQM-Pakistan so that the party and it’s supporters, who are without doubt sincere Pakistanis can fulfill their positively.
