Nisar asks UK to take action against Altaf

Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday met with the British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew, urging the UK authorities to take action against MQM founder in light of the reference sent by Pakistan, sources told a private TV channel.

According to them, the interior minister said that Pakistan has sent evidence against the MQM founder and British government should take action against him.

Sources further suggested that British High Commissioner said that the British police were investigating the case and the issue would be resolved in accordance with legal requirements.

Thomas Drew also met with the opposition leader Syed Khursheed Shah.

Shah said, “UK should play its role in resolving the Kashmir issue permanently in accordance with United Nations resolutions.”

“International community should take notice of the brutalities in Indian-held Kashmir,” he said this during the meeting in his chamber at the Parliament House.

Other matters of mutual interest came under discussion during the meeting.

Shah said that Pakistan gives great importance to its historic and friendly relations with the UK.

“We are thankful to the British government for its cooperation in the field of education and health,” Shah added.
