The third one-day international of the five-match series between Pakistan and England will be played on Tuesday (today) at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.
The match will start at 6:00pm (PST).
Following an impressive show in the recently concluded four-match Test series against England, the visitors Pakistan lag behind 0-2 in the One-Day International (ODI) series, as they get set to take on the in-form hosts in the third match of the series.
Pakistan has failed to come up with the same fighting spirit in the ODIs as they did in the Tests, while England has bounced back well enough, maintaining their tough composure in the limited-overs format, as they aim to seal the series with a win on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim insists his side are determined to show their one-day international credentials after a pair of lacklustre efforts against England.
Imad and his team-mates are ninth in the International Cricket Council one-day rankings after defeats in Southampton and at Lord’s left them 2-0 down with three to play against England. Nevertheless, Imad says Azhar Ali’s team have it in them to battle back in the third match at Trent Bridge on Tuesday.
“With the talent we’ve got, I don’t think it’s a number nine team,” he said. “We have to show that in big matches like tomorrow. I believe we can come back. We have to work hard, trust ourselves and show our skills in front of the cameras.”
