Met Office forecasts rain in different parts of the country

The Pakistan Meteorological Department Tuesday has predicted rainfall in different cities across the country including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

Rain combined with gusty winds is likely to occur in Karachi whereas heavy shower will lash Lahore.

Islamabad and Rawalpindi received widespread rains late night and inundated the low-lying areas.

According to the Met Office, rain-thundershowers with gusty winds is expected at isolated places of Islamabad, upper Punjab, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions, Lower Sindh, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Karachi divisions, Bahawalpur divisions, upper FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Moreover, a risk of flood is likely in River Ravi, Sutlej and Chenab due to heavy rains.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Tuesday morning:

Islamabad 21°C, Lahore 26°C, Karachi 28°C, Peshawar 24°C, Quetta 17°C, Murree 16°C, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad 18°C.
