Faran Tahir to star in ‘Once Upon A Time’ season six

Actor Faran Tahir has been casted in ABC’s acclaimed American TV series Once Upon A Time for the upcoming sixth season.

Faran will be portraying the role of legendary fictional character Captain Nemo, a hardened leader of the Nautilus submarine, who appeared in the original novel 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne, and later in the Disney feature film of the same name.

Describing his feelings about playing the character, Faran says, “I am extremely excited to play Captain Nemo, a character which has a lot to offer. He’s adventurous, a trait which brings him glory, he’s got immense courage and he's devoted to his crew”.

Captain Nemo is described as a passionate believer in a cause, which takes him from 69,047 miles under the sea to a destiny that he won’t let anyone stop him from attaining.

Interestingly, his mythology will merge with Captain Hook who also features on the show  audiences can be certain of many twists and turns as they witness how Captain Nemo and Captain Hook are related to each other in Season 6.

Faran Tahir a Pakistani-American film and television actor. Tahir is best known for his act as Raza, the leader of a terrorist organisation, The Ten Rings in Iron Man (2008). In 1985, he appeared as Bolshintsov in U.C. Berkeley’s production of A Month in the Country.

He made his film debut playing Nathoo in the Disney 1994 live-action version of Rudyard. He played Starfleet Captain Richard Robau in the 2009 film Star Trek. In 2013, Tahir played President Patel in the science-fiction film Elysium.
