Rainfall expected in most parts of country in next 12 hours

Pakistan Meteorological Office (Met Office) on Monday has predicted rain in various cities of the country including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. The rain spell is expected to continue till Tuesday evening.

Rain-thunderstorm with few heavy falls is expected at scattered places of South Punjab, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Sindh, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir while at isolated places of Islamabad, Upper Punjab and eastern Balochistan during the next 12 hours.

However, downpour may trigger flash flooding and landslides in the vulnerable areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning was:

Islamabad 21°C, Lahore 25°C, Karachi 27°C, Peshawar 26°C, Quetta 19°C, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad 17°C and Murree 16°C.
