A self-assessment test was conducted for future engineers at the Pavilion End Club which was organised by the Study Aid Project (SAP).

The test was held for the pro-engineering students who are desirous to get admission at the NED University in its graduate programmes being offered this year.

Some 2,000 students attended the test session which was conducted free of charge by the Study Aid Project, a volunteer-run initiative run by existing and pass-out students of the NED University. A unique pre-admission preparation for aspiring engineers, the self-assessment test, was based on multiple-choice and directed response questions on fundamental areas as arithmetic, trigonometry, dynamical systems and differential equations. The test also consisted of a range of questions related to physics, introductory chemistry, general knowledge, and English comprehension. The exercise was also appreciated by parents of the students who appeared in the mock test.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Siraj-ul-Haq, who visited the test venue, said provision of health and education services must be the top priority of the state. For a better tomorrow, the government should raise the overall education budget by 50 per cent, he suggested. Based in Karachi, the Study Aid Project (SAP) is a volunteer-run non-profit students’ organisation which has been operating as an academic facilitator for both undergraduate and graduate students enrolled  in different colleges and universities of the city.
