Police on Sunday carried out search operations in different parts of the metropolis and apprehended six alleged criminals including two target killers.
According to police sources, search operations were conducted in various parts of Lyari area and during door-to-door search criminals opened fire on police team. An exchange of fire took place after which a gangster affiliated with Baba Ladla group named Rafiq Baloch alias Rafu was nabbed and a weapon was seized from the suspect.
Meanwhile, a target killer affiliated with a militant wing of a political party was arrested from Agra Taj Colony who is said to be involved several target killing cases. The security forces also nabbed four proclaimed offenders from Hub area and a rifle, four pistols and 10-kilograms of drugs were recovered from their possessions.
