Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has distributed over Rs 53 million Individual Financial Assistance (IFA) among 8,898 deserving persons of the Swat district during the last three years.
According to reports, the PBM was providing Individual Financial Assistance to the poor, widows, destitute women, orphans and disabled persons.
He said the main aim of IFA was to fulfil the needs of the poor people and empower them economically. Assistance was being provided to the needy individuals on the first come first serve basis.
He said a person having a monthly income of up to Rs 10,000 or equivalent was eligible for receiving financial assistance.
False declaration or provision of wrong information may result in recoveries and permanent ineligibility or debar from all PBM schemes, he added.
Government employees, family members and beneficiaries of other social welfare agencies were ineligible for getting IFA, he said.
