CM’s advisor demands 5pc job quota for non-Muslims

Special Assistant to the Sindh chief minister for Minority Affairs Department Dr Khatu Mal Jeewan has written a letter to the chief secretary and the inspector general of police regarding five per cent minorities job quota in all the Sindh government departments, especially in the current recruitment of Sindh police which is under process across the province.In the letter, Jeewan also pointed out that the Sindh Assembly had passed a resolution unanimously regarding implementation of five per cent job quota for the candidates of non-Muslim communities in all departments of government of Sindh.Dr Khatu Mal Jeewan said that the PPP, under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, would take all the steps to ensure that legitimate rights of minorities are well protected. The special incentives announced by the PPP government would be followed in letter and spirit under the guidance of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, he added.
