Khairpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Fayaz Hussain Abbasi on Thursday said that anti-polio drops would be administered to 5,507 children during a four-day campaign which would begin from August 29 till September 1.
While presiding over a meeting at his office, Abbasi urged the parents to cooperate with polio teams and administer polio drops to their children during the drive and said that the achievement of 100 per cent polio vaccination target in all union councils of the Khairpur District will be ensured.
The Khairpur DC said that the polio vaccination teams need to work with dedication for the success of the campaign. He warned that strict action would be taken against negligent officials.
The representatives of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), health department officials and town health officials attended the meeting.
