The Sindh Home Department in an exercise of the powers conferred under Section 144 (6) CrPC imposed a ban on protests, demonstrations, rallies and assembly of more than five persons in various places of Karachi division which are declared as ‘Red Zone’ for a six-day period with immediate effect.
The SHOs of relevant police stations have been authorised to register complaints under Section 188 PPC in writing for the violation of Section 144 CrPC against the violators.
The important buildings include premises of Sindh Governor House, Chief Minister Secretariat, Assembly Building, Sindh Secretariat and Bilawal House.
The ban has been imposed on limits and boundaries of Hoshang Chowk to Fowara Chowk, Deen Muhammad Wafai Road, Sidco Centre, Sabir Baig Shaheed Road Corner Coast Guard Mess, Sir Ghulam Hussain Hidayatullah Road, PSO Petrol Pump, PSO Petrol Pump, Sharah-e-Liaquat, Fresco Chowk, Muhammad Bin Qasim Road , DJ Chowrangi, Dr Ziauddin Ahmed Road Shaheen Complex, Khajoor Chowk, PIDC Chowk, 16-D Bungalow, Beach View Round about block 4 to corner Bagh-e-Rustum via ATC Court Road, Corner Bagh-e-Rustum to Bilawal Chowrangi via Shah Ghazi Road, Bilawal Chowrangi to Ali Baba Chowrangi via Khayaban-e-Saadi and Ali Baba Chowrangi to Beach view Park.
