FIRs lodged against Altaf Hussain, 14 others

Madan Police Station Artillery registered two different cases on Tuesday against the anti-Pakistan speech by London-based Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and for inciting party activists to indulge in violence in Saddar area of the metropolis on Monday.

According to a police spokesman, at least 15 people, including MQM chief Altaf and Farooq Sattar have been nominated in the FIRs. The cases pertained to anti-Pakistan speech, arson, attack on a private TV channel and police personnel.

The sections of Anti-Terrorism Act and Telegraph Act are also included in the FIRs.
