The latest resignation of Chairman WAPDA is the loss of a good man who had courage to speak the truth over KBD which was declared by a former P.M. of PPP to have become a victim of politics. So therefore opposition to KBD is due to politician’s assinine qualities and not due to opposition of any technical person. The result is that where India has built 4000 large dams we are banking on only two dams of Tarbela and Mangla which are silting by the day and have lost 1/3rd capacity of storage. The P.M. – while exploding six nuclear devices in 1998 – had promised to build KBD. It is not for the first time that a Chairman WAPDA has retired due to informing on the facts of KBD. The rulers do not like the facts but want sycophants to praise their every move however destructive it may be for the nation. May Allah help us over the wrong policies of our rulers.
