Former Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said the anti-Pakistan speech of Altaf Hussain is not only strongly condemnable but also regrettable.

An action should be taken against those who had attacked the media houses and also against those who used derogatory language against the country, Shah said.

While talking to media persons on Wednesday, the former chief minister said attacking media houses is a highly condemnable act and mere apologies from Muttahida Qaumi Movement leaders are not enough to compensate the loss.

He said there will be no compromise on the solidarity of Pakistan and no one will tolerate anti-Pakistan speeches and slogans.

“It seems that there is a great conspiracy against Pakistan as there was a terror attack in Quetta few days ago and now Altaf Hussain’s speech and attacks on media houses,” he added.

Shah further said that terrorism is a countrywide issue and the military has played a key role in Operation Zarb-e-Azb. Doing day-to-day affairs has become easy due to the military operations, he added.

Replying to a question, he said that operation in Karachi should continue till complete elimination of terrorism, targeted killing, street crimes, extortion and other crimes.
