Time for action

The news that over 70 per cent of blood banks in Punjab are running without registration and pathologists is really alarming and shows negligence on the part of concerned authorities. As per law, registration is mandatory for any blood bank or lab and even medical equipments are also required to get registration from Drug Regulation Authority Pakistan’s Technical Board however, most of them are running without any registration. Since healthcare of masses is among the top priorities of government therefore, the government must pay attention to this serious issue on urgent basis. It is hoped that the Chief Minister Punjab will take notice of this at the earliest so that matters of health may be run in a smooth and safe manner.
