Police seize 77 kg of drugs in Sargodha

The police on Tuesday arrested four drug dealers and recovered 77 KG of narcotics from their possession.

According to a police spokesman, Satellite Town police, acting on a tip off, stopped two vehicles at 91 Chowki at Qainchi Morr New Satellite Town and arrested four members of an inter-provincial gang of drug trafficking. The police also recovered over 63 KG of Hashish and 14 KG of Opium worth millions of rupees from the secret places of the vehicles.

The arrested drug traffickers were identified as Ali Raza of Factory Area, Muhammad Usman of Muhammadi Colony, Nazaqat Ali of Chak 30 and Ashiq Hussain of Fatima Jinnah colony Sargodha.

During preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed that the drugs were being smuggled from Peshawar to different areas of Punjab.

Police have registered separate cases against the accused.
