A survey was conducted by pakwheel.com, an auto mobile portal that found that 75% cars in Pakistan are uninsured – something which is mandatory under the Provincial Motor Vehicles, 1965. According to Provincial Motor Vehicles, more than 25% are uninsured cars are presented in Pakistan. According to estimation that 24% drive cars are license with 41% of them below 21 years. Nearly 60% respondents are buying used cars and 40% respondents are buying new cars. In last two years the financing has seen a rapid growth on it. Unfortunately only 22% of the new cars owner and 5% of them used car owners purchase vehicles through auto financing or a loan. It indicates that banks witness very important growth in auto financing in upcoming day. I request to the government to arrest the people whose cars are uninsured and without license.

In an effort to make drivers aware of the issue – and to encourage the uninsured to take out cover – Churchill said it was taking out digital advertising boards in London, Manchester and Birmingham that would register passing vehicles and display how many cars were likely to be uninsured.
