Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting Monday (today) to discuss cleanliness situation in Karachi.
During the meeting Murad Ali Shah ordered officials that the city must be cleaned up during the next 8-10 days.
He also said he wanted Karachi Sea View area to be completely cleaned up as well.
CM Murad, who has vowed to make Karachi clean , said he realised ridding Karachi of garbage dumps would take time and that he had issued new goals and instructions to relevant authorities to clean up the city in the next 10 days.
Talking to the media after the meeting, he also said that law and order situation in Karachi would further improve. He also dismissed accounts of ‘child kidnappings’ in the city as mere rumours.
He further said that no criminals, regardless of their political affiliation, would be allowed to escape.
Earlier this month Murad Ali Shah had chaired a meeting for cleanliness in Karachi where he had said that the Sindh government was constantly being criticised for the garbage dumps which ply the streets.
“I will not allow garbage to be dumped on any ground,” he had said.
