Tehreek-e-Ehtesab fund launched in UK and Europe: PTI leader

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) UK and Europe Head Sahibzada Jahangir, while addressing the party workers last night in Leicestershire, UK, announced the launching of the Tehreek-e-Ehtesab fundraising campaign throughout the UK and Europe. He said the population of the Pakistanis in the UK is exceeding 1.17 million and in Europe it is officially estimated to be over 1.75 million. These people love Pakistan; they have their roots and families there and send their hard earned money to Pakistan. The overseas Pakistanis foreign exchange remittances to Pakistan is over $19 billion dollars, second to the Pakistan’s annual exports, he lamented.

“PML-N government is afraid to grant us the voting rights because they know the votes from overseas will go against the status quo system and the large majority of those eight million overseas Pakistanis will vote for Imran Khan’s PTI as he is the most trusted face of Pakistan,” he added.

PTI leader announced the executive committee of 100 powerful people consisting of eminent businessmen, doctors, teachers, lawyers, and human rights activists. He said from the next week fundraising events are being organised in every city of UK and Europe and added, “Initially we are working towards achieving a $1 million target which will support and contribute towards Imran Khan’s movement. Pakistanis living here are fed-up with the performance of Nawaz Sharif’s government charged and accused on daily basis with corruption, Panama leaks, money laundering, bad governance, and law and order failure. Children in thousands were kidnapped in Punjab while CM Shahbaz Sharif and PM Nawaz Sharif stand helpless as silent spectators.”

He stressed there is one rule for the rich and another rule for the poor. PM Sharif assumed sick, charters a plane to fly to the UK for treatment, whereas there is no electricity and clean drinking water for the poor.
