Sindh govt approves Madaris Registration Bill 2016 draft

The Sindh Cabinet Saturday (today) approved the draft of Sindh Madaris Registration Bill 2016.

Chief Minister Sind Syed Murad Ali Shah presided over the meeting.

The Chief Minister said National Action Plan will be implemented at any cost in the province.and madressa registration is vital for this.

A committee headed by Chief Minister, Advisor for Law Murtaza Wahab will review the bill within 15 days and after clearing the law it will be passed through Sindh Assembly. Religious scholars will also be taken on board in this regard.

Speaking at the meeting, CM Murad stressed that registering seminaries in the province should be done on priority basis.

He said we would streamline seminaries and urged ulema to cooperate with the government in this regard.

During the meeting, the provincial cabinet has also approved the Sindh Transparency and a right to information bill. This will be sent to the committee concerned for further improvement in it.

The cabinet also approved the amendment in the voluntarily social welfare agency ordinance to monitor the performance of NGOs and welfare associations in the province and under taken the audit of their accounts.

The cabinet also approved the Sindh Arms Act bill which will be reviewed before final approval of the Assembly.

Inspector General Police, A.D. Khawaja briefed the cabinet about the progress on National Action Plan in the province.
