At least five security personnel were injured in a landmine explosion in Khyber Agency on Wednesday.
Official sources said that the security forces engaged in an operation against militants in the tribal agency, were passing through Rajgal when they were struck by a landmine planted by unknown miscreants.
Five security men were seriously injured in the blast and were rushed to the nearby Agency Headquarters Hospital, from where they were referred to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Peshawar, due to their condition being critical.
The security forces cordoned off the area after the blast and launched a search operation against the militants.
