The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) on Wednesday took suo moto notice of illegal appointments in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
According to registrar office sources, the CJP has issued a notice to NAB chairman, directing him to submit a report on the matter.
The suo moto notice was taken on a letter submitted by a citizen.
Registrar office has also been ordered to fix a date for hearing of the case at the earliest.
The NAB is Pakistan’s apex anti-corruption organisation. It is charged with the responsibility of elimination of corruption through a holistic approach of awareness, prevention and enforcement.
