A picture of Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt easily winning a 100m race in Rio has set Twitter ablaze with praise for the athlete and inspired a flurry of hilarious internet memes.
The Olympian made history by winning his third gold medal at three consecutive Games.
He was pictured posing for the camera moments before finishing first by a significant margin in his semi-final race.
As the picture began making the rounds on social media, Twitter soon erupted with memes.
Who can catch this guy? Maybe The Flash? #Bolt vs #TheFlash pic.twitter.com/kscz2FGh22

The Jamaican sprint legend emerged victorious in his grudge match against American Justin Gatlin, running the track in 9.81 seconds.
Gatlin, who finished in 9.89 seconds, took home the silver medal while Andre De Grasse of Canada nabbed the bronze.
Bolt is now just two races away from completing the ‘triple triple’ and winning three consecutive Olympic gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.
It would be the perfect final Olympics for the legend, who has repeatedly said he will retire after Rio.
On Monday, Ellen DeGeneres also posted her own meme of her riding the back of the gold medalist.
This is how I’m running errands from now on. #Rio2016 pic.twitter.com/gYPtG9T1ao

However, her joke backfired as people considered it to be racist and insensitive.
@TheEllenShow @usainbolt So riding on his back like a mule, a horse as some form of property is fun to you…
Ok.

@MiQL @TheEllenShow @usainbolt You realize that not everything is racist, right?

@fourfivehours @TheEllenShow @usainbolt they were complimented on their strength. So i guess they weren’t racist. pic.twitter.com/sXgo85VSvW

Usain Bolt, however, found the joke funny and supported Ellen by retweeting the image.
Eventually the human race will have to cease all communication entirely so that nobody gets offended by anything. https://t.co/JZJubqteQ2

The fact that Ellen DeGeneres of all people could be accused of being racist shows how insane this victim culture is https://t.co/YEKQT8ha1u

DeGeneres gave a positive respond to all the criticism by tweeting a video of Usain Bolt.
Heres something you dont see very often-@UsainBolt losing a race. This was 1 of my favorite moments from last season https://t.co/oj9qC03Kxu
