Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that WAPDA needs to work efficiently for the development of water and hydropower resources in Pakistan.

Generation of affordable and clean electricity will not only provide relief to the consumers, but building of water storages will also enable the country to fulfill its water requirements. The prime minister directed that WAPDA needs to expedite building of water reservoirs across the country which would certainly mitigate flood hazards as well.
The PM directed the chairman to fast track development work on the ongoing projects and further explore hydropower generation potential in the country for maximum benefit to the people.
