Radhika Apte and Adil Hussain’s Parched received a thundering applause at the recently concluded Melbourne Film Festival. The film won many laurels but before it could be released in India, a sex scene featuring Radhika and Adil made its way to the Internet.

Surprisingly, it was not the whole film that was leaked online this time. It was just the lovemaking scene which showed Radhika in the nude that was released online. The video went viral and caught on like wild fire within minutes of the leak.

Actor Adil Hussain is upset to see his love-making scene with actress Radhika Apte from his international film, Parched, leaked on the internet.

The said scene, which shows Adil and Radhika both topless making love, was leaked a couple of days back.

Adil told Indian Express, “I learnt about it yesterday from Google alert and it felt bizarre in the beginning. In fact, it felt very weird. It shows how sexually obsessed a lot of people in our society are.

“You leak only the sex scene and no other beautiful scenes from the film. It only shows that we are extremely obsessed with sex and yet we don’t want to talk about it. We shun it, shove it under the carpet and don’t want to show it to people.”

The movie is about three women in a remote Gujarat village who break free of century-old traditions of servitude and patriarchy.

Pointing out how the video has been titled ‘Radhika Apte sex scene’ instead of ‘Adil Hussain sex scene’, the actor highlighted the patriarchal mindset that is prevalent in Indian society.

“The most interesting aspect is that the leaked videos is titled as Radhika Apte sex scene and not as Adil Hussain sex scene. That’s because a man doing it is just another matter whereas when a woman does it, it does matter. It is only then when it becomes a sex scene. It also shows the patriarchal society that we live in. In the West, such scenes are normally shown in their films,” reasoned Adil.

Commenting on the culprit behind the leak Adil said, “The person who has done it, I am sure is not a woman but a man. And it must be an Indian man.” The makers of the film have approached the cyber cell.
