Infrastructural development is a vital component that paves the way for country’s economic and social growth. It enhances the productivity of a country at major levels. Keeping this in mind, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched the construction work at a ground-breaking ceremony of Ring Road’s southern loop-1 and 2 (SL-1 and 2) with the CM pledging to complete and inaugurate it on the next Independence Day. According to details, with the estimated cost of Rs25 billion, the 22.4 km SL-1 and 2 will start from Kamahan (DHA phase 5) and end at Adda Plot, Raiwind Road.
The project certainly calls for applause as it will benefit a large number of motorists daily. Likewise, the proposed construction of Shahdara Expressway project is also a welcome step to ease traffic flow as it will facilitate more than 30,000 vehicles on daily basis. The government of Punjab acknowledges the needs of its people and is leaving no stone unturned to uplift the social and economic lives of its people. It is hoped that such initiatives will continue in the future as well and contribute in the socio-economic development of Pakistan in general and Punjab in particular.
