The family tracing team of Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) on Monday handed over another three run-away children to their parents.
Addressing a press conference, CPWB Chairperson Saba Sadiq said that parents of all the three children had got registered cases of kidnapping in their respective cities but all of them had run away over different disputes.
She said that Ismail, son of Ghafoor of Kohat, came to Lahore after having a quarrel with his elder brother and he was received by the Open Reception Centre of the CPWB at Railway Station. Later on, the family tracing team contacted his family and handed them over the child.
Zareen Iftikhar of Cheechawatni came to Lahore after beaten up by his teacher. The CPWB team took him into custody and searched for his parents.
Hassan Shafiq of Sialkot has also the same case. He had run away from his house.
Saba said the bureau and police are using all resources to trace the missing children and data was also being collected from NGOs and shelter homes.
