Aamir Khan has expressed his ardent desire to work with megastar Amitabh Bachchan in future. While speculations are rife that the two legendary actors would be sharing screen space in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thug, Aamir, on his part, neither confirmed nor denied these reports.
When asked about it, Aamir told the media, ”It’s too early to talk about it.”
However, the Dangal actor sounded excited at the prospect of pairing up with Amitabh Bachchan in future. Talking to Indian media, Aamir said, “Bachchan sahab is someone who I hugely admire and respect. I am a big fan of Bachchan sahab. I have grown up watching his films. I have learnt so much from him. If I get an opportunity to work with him, it will be a dream come true for me. I hope it happens. And when it does happen, you all will get to know.”
If Aamir and Amitabh confirm themselves for Thug, it will be a casting coup as these two stars have never worked together. While Aamir has worked with Acharya in Dhoom 3, Amitabh has never worked with the director before.
At present, Aamir Khan is busy with his next Dangal which is based on wrestler Mahavir Phogat’s life and his struggles to make his daughters, Geeta and Babita, wrestlers. He went for a massive transformation for the role — from an old overweight man to sporting six-pack abs, he has gone the whole gamut for the role. Dangal is all set to hit the theatres this Christmas.
