The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) on Sunday celebrated the Independence Day with full fervour, zeal and a sovereign commitment to continue playing its role in the promotion of education in the low income families.
PEF Managing Director Tariq Mahmood performed the ceremony of hoisting national flag at the main building along with other officials in the morning. National anthem was sung on the occasion while PEF staff prayed for the prosperity and progress of the country.
Later, while addressing the ceremony, the PEF MD said that the foundation is working hard to make Pakistan an educated country by ensuring that every deserving child makes it to the nearby school, funded by PEF as education is our strong identity. He further said that quality education is the finest gift to the children who cannot go to the school due to various socio-economic reasons and added that this educational support also helps in overall development of the country.
We have also been working hard to help achieve the goals of three-year long ‘Parho Punjab, Barho Punjab’ to promote quality schooling in the province. The PEF has emerged as a symbol of hope and a bright future for the disfranchised strata who have found PEF funded schooling a great support to continue the education of their children, the PEF MD added.
