Non-registered private schools in Rawalpindi to face heavy fine

The Rawalpindi Education Department has decided to take action against 2,000 non-registered private schools with a fine of Rs 20,000 per day until they got themselves registered

Under a new ordinance, registration of those private schools will be suspended which have charged an extra fee from the students.

The new drive will kick off on August 15.

Education EDO Qazi Zahoorul Haq said that there were at least 2,000 private schools in the districts that were either unregistered or charging an extra fee in violation of the prescribed limit.
