Pakistani actress Momal Sheikh, who makes her Bollywood debut with ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’, was the centre of attraction on set. From telling stories from her side of the border to discussing their way of life in their film and television industry, her co-starsAbhay Deol, Diana Penty, Jimmy Sheirgill and Ali Fazal got to know a lesser-known side of the neighbouring country.
According to Times of India, Happy Bhag Jayegi cast member, Ali Fazal, said the Pakistani actor was the one who entertained everyone on the set during shoots.
“Momal was the new person on set. Once, there was an India vs Pakistan cricket match and all through the day we pulled her leg. Though she was the butt of all our jokes, she always had fast, witty comebacks for us,” said the actor.
“She was cool about it all. Initially, we would be surprised when, after pack up, she would ask us, ‘Why isn’t any party happening here?’ When we joked, ‘Aren’t you from Lahore?’, it turned out that we were the uncool ones. She was the jaan of our team,” added Ali.
The Pakistani actor would also share stories ofour country with her cast members, and our way of life. Something the cast members were not entirely well-versed in
Momal’s debut Bollywood film Happy Bhag Jayegi along with her father Javed Sheikh will hit theatres 19th Aug.
