Minorities celebrate their day with prayers for peace

Religious minorities observed National Minorities Day on August 11.

The event was attended by Federal Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafique, Minister Kamran Michael, MNA Khalil George, MNA Rubina Khursheed Alam, Charge de Affairs of Portugal, his Excellency Joao Paulo Sabido Costa and people from all religious backgrounds.

Addressing the gathering, Minister for Human Rights Kamran Michael said that Pakistan’s religious minorities stand shoulder to shoulder with their Muslim brothers to ensure safety and security of the country. On the occasion, religious leaders from all minority groups led special prayers for the peace and prosperity of the country. A special dua was also offered for the solace of martyrs of Quetta blast.
