The fever of Independence Day is in full swing, as Pakistanis decorate their homes and vehicles with national flags and even themselves with badges.
As this is the age of technology, people are also quite active going green on their social accounts with their display pictures being decorated with national flags and monuments.
Every year, cashing in on the Independence Day fervour, software and app developers create apps to help people create pictures to share on their social accounts with flag colours or flag patterns. Even this year, a software firm, FaceArt, has released an app which allows you to put Pakistani flag filters on your picture.
The app called ‘Pakistan Selfie,’ gives users an option to select from five flag filters. They vary from a complete flag on the face, on your forehead or on your cheeks. You can either take a new selfie with the app or choose an already existing photo from the gallery to apply the filter.
The app works only on human faces and if you try to use the filter on anything besides that, it simply won’t work.
“Show your passion for your country! Paint Pakistan’s flag on your face automatically using #PakistanSelfie. Just take a selfie and we take care of the rest. Chose from many different flag styles including full face and cheek paint filters,” Face Selfie website stated.
The app is available on both iOS and Android
The filters range from a complete flag on the face, on your forehead or on your cheeks. You can either take a new selfie with the app or choose an already existing photo from the gallery to apply the filter.
However, the app is only workable on human faces, and would simply not work if used on anything besides that.
A similar app called India Selfie is also on the internet and is developed by the same FacewArt, but for the Indian audience. Indeed a good way to cash in from the Independence festivities.
