PPP has always protected rights of minorities: Chandio

Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Information & Archives Moula Bux Chandio said on Thursday that the PPP had always protected the rights of minorities.

He said this in a statement issued on Thursday on the occasion of World Minorities’ Day. The advisor further stated that keeping in view Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and all PPP leaders are working hard for peaceful and democratic Pakistan as per ideology of Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, he said.

“The Sindh government has always given importance to the rights of minorities and for this it has established minorities’ affairs department,” added the adviser. He further said that for protection of minorities, a full-fledged ministry of minorities affairs had been established due to which Hindu Marriage Act 2016, Sindh Matrooka Imlak and Missing People Act and Sindh Minorities Rights Commission Bill 2015 was implemented in the province of Sindh and it was proved that Pakistan People’s Party is the only democratic power of province which is protecting the right of minorities.  The adviser further added that peaceful and developed Pakistan was the mission of Pakistan Peoples’ Party and they have been elected through the votes of masses.
