Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will help promote regional connectivity and economic activities.
Addressing a function on Wednesday, he said regional cooperation is an important pillar of economic progress. He invited the private sector to come forward and play a role for the development of the country and added that the government will facilitate them.
He said position of Pakistan has improved in the comity of nations as a result of economic reforms. He pointed out that all out efforts were being made to eliminate terrorism and extremism from the country. He said Pakistan will not allow its soil to be used for terrorist activities against any country.
Iqbal said Pakistan wants to start trade activities with Central Asian Republics through Afghanistan. He said infrastructure projects like CASA-1000 and TAPI will promote economic activities in the region.
