Since health care of masses is among the top most priorities of the Punjab government therefore, the news that development scheme of health sector with an estimated cost of Rs 410.88 million has been approved by the government is welcoming. According to the details, the approved development scheme includes construction of 100-bed Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif General Hospital in Multan. Moreover, it is also praiseworthy to mention here that a third party audit of health facilities is underway across the province and strict actions will be taken against those found guilty. It is hoped that the government will remain sincere in its efforts to improve the health conditions in the province. Whatever has been done is good but more needs to be done as health care of masses is need of the hour.
