A man was killed in a hit-and-run incident within the Golra Sharif police jurisdiction.
Mohammad Tahir, a resident of Golra Sharif, lodged a complaint with the local police that his father Noor Hussain was going on motorcycle when he was hit from behind on Kashmir Highway by a dumper TKR-216 driven recklessly by unidentified person, leaving him fatally injured on the road. The dumper driver fled the scene of accident.
The injured was rushed to local hospital for medical treatment, where the doctors pronounced him dead.
Separately, a man was killed in a road accident when a speeding motorcycle hit him within the Shalimar police jurisdiction.
The police said Attaullah, a resident of Swabi, was crossing a road in Sector F-11 when a speeding motorcycle hit him from behind and fled the scene. The man was killed on the spot.
The body was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences for medico-legal formalities.
