Newly-appointed Minister for Industries Manzoor Wassan on Tuesday raided Sindh Industrial Trading Estates limited (SITE) office and suspended higher officials including managing director and its secretary.
According to details, the minister arrived at the office at 9 am and expressed his displeasure over lack of staff’s attendance and tethered animals on the premises of building.
Manzoor Wassan immediately terminated MD Ghulam Mujtaba and Secretary Agha Fakhar and issued show cause notice to other employees. He also found 306 workers absent and ordered strict action against them.
On the other hand, the social welfare minister was also seen in action against mismanagement in the respective office as he also fired at least 17 inefficient workers and directed to improve the office’s working environment.
