SHCBA demands Rs20m compensation for each victim family

The Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) on Tuesday condemned the target killing of president of Balochsitan High Court Bar Association and subsequent suicide bomb blast at Civil Hospital Quetta.

The SHCBA lambasted the incident in its general body meeting. The association vowed to stand with the families of martyrs and injured.

The SHCBA was of the view that the provincials and federal governments and other security agencies have once again failed to protect the lives of the innocent and defenseless citizens. The association demanded of the authorities concerned to provide sufficient and foolproof security in high courts and subordinate courts situated in the country, particularly educational and religious institutions, so that such incident may not be repeated again and the lives of public at large maybe protected.

The SHCBA demanded of the governments to pay Rs 20 million compensation to the bereaved families and Rs 10 million to each injured person. The association called upon the Balochistan and federal governments to curb such incidents and arrest the real culprits and take them to task.

The SHCBA announced to observe complete strike for three days from Tuesday and not to appear before the courts.
