Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Quetta on Tuesday and inquired about the health of the injured from Monday’s terror attack at CMH.
He also met Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri and offered Fateha for the martyrs and prayed for early recovery of the injured. Shehbaz Sharif gave a cheque worth Rs.75 million to the Balochistan CM for the families of the martyrs and injured and also offered him all-out help and treatment of the victims.
Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri, while speaking on the occasion said that the morale of the heirs of martyrs and injured is high. He thanked Shehbaz Sharif for his visit to Quetta and said that Punjab has always been standing with others in the hour of need. He said that Balochistan highly values the love and sentiments of Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for the people of Balochistan.
Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that a decisive war is being fought against terrorists, which has to be won at any cost. He said that the terrorists have spilt the blood of innocent people in Civil Hospital Quetta. He said that the blast at the hospital was a national tragedy and added that sympathies of the entire nation are with the bereaved families. He said that terrorists have no religion or faith and are enemies of the entire humanity.
Shehbaz Sharif said that those perpetrating cruelties on innocent people have no right to be called human beings. He said that such elements are savages and a burden on the society. He said that these ruthless elements should be made punished so they can be made an example.
He said that terrorists will be defeated with the force of unity and unswerving determination of the nation. He said that terrorism will be rooted out from the country. He said that Zarb-e-Azb has hit terrorists very hard and there is a need to continue this operation. He said that the war against terrorism will continue till complete elimination of this menace.
The chief minister during his visit to CMH Quetta, inquired after the injured individually. The chief minister also presented flowers to the injured. Talking to the injured, the chief minister said that he has brought the message of solidarity and sympathies for them from the people of Punjab who are grieved at this tragedy.
Shehbaz Sharif also inquired after patients being treated in other wards who said that they knew that he would visit them. When Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached Quetta, he was received by Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri and provincial ministers at the airport.
Punjab Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad and Member Provincial Assembly Jehangir Khanzada also accompanied the chief minister.
